Tomodachi Game, also known as Friend Game, is a manga about Yuuichi Katagiri and his struggles with money. Despite his financial troubles, he finds solace in his close friends. To fulfill a promise, Yuuichi saves up money to join them on a school trip. But when the money goes missing, suspicion falls on two friends, Shiho Sawaragi and Makoto Shibe, who were supposed to collect it. Even though they’re innocent, Shiho and Makoto take the blame. Soon after, Yuuichi and his friends get mysterious letters, tricking them into meeting up. They’re ambushed and wake up in a strange room with “Manabu-kun,” a character from a canceled kids’ show with dark content. He says one of them gathered them to settle a debt. They’re forced into a “friendship game,” testing their bond and trust. As secrets and betrayals surface, Yuuichi must find out who he can truly trust and uncover the traitor’s identity.
